There is nothing more American than breaking the rules.

I was all excited about personal conveyance only to find out... none of it will do anything for the drivers I work with which means I cannot provide them any new news. SIGH

I need to try this in about 5 minutes when my drive time is up? Or does my 14 need to be up? I'm suiting in the fuel island and there is no parking at all. New Haven Indiana Jfly.

Good. It gives clear guidelines to proceed from Walmarts and Krogers to the first available parking area. It could mean getting out of town on the premise that all the local truck stops were full. It could be abused easily, so it brings another question of what DOT will say when they see someone running 100 miles or more while out of any hours to find a spot, which in some cases is quite possible and justified.
Overall, I am glad that they clarified it like that because I can always book a spot at the nearest Petro/Pilot and go straight there after loading/unloading (even if laden).

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

You can always book a spot? I am not paying for parking that I do not as yet know if I will get reimbursed.

You can book one if it is important to you.
