I use Norfolk to Tidewater Maryland CBBT bridge matrix for wind as a framework for my own decisions with truck.

I have spend many times holed up waiting for NOAA high wind warnings vs high profile vehicles to expire.

I can fight winds from certain angles loaded at 80000 up to 75 but never more than that. And empty never more than 50. Dispatch will just have to wait. I remember with heavy containers 110 to 130K I did not care about wind. It had no meaning.

If it's ice I don't drive on cross wind on it. Pushing empty trailer into next lane. Never. (That's about 35 or so)

My first time across that bridge was my first week solo, at night, with strong crosswinds blowing down the bay. The winds were strong enough to make some pretty big waves. Definitely an experience for a noob.

No he wasn’t banned. He’s been down in Tahiti working on his tan and giving the young native women fits.

I've said it before and I will say it again, @x1Heavy is the Hunter S Thompson of our forum. I often think of the opening lines of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas when I read his posts.

"We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold". Very appropriate.
