    55 mph crosswind is enough wind to blow over a dry van. One of the nice surprises about pulling a tanker is how little they are moved by crosswinds. Sometime the first indication I get of high winds is watching dry vans leaning or being buffeted.

    Hell, when X1 Heavy was born, HE drove his mom home from the hospital. Got pulled over on the way home and let the cop off with a warning

    Once I get in sustained winds over 75 mph, I only pull empty trailers. I back the brakes off or cage them and use the engine brake to slow down. It’s hypermiling for truck drivers, I usually average about 25 mpg,
