The best protection is using your brain. I lived the most dangerous neighborhood in the USA during the late 80's to early 90's (Columbia Heights Washington DC), during the 'crack wars'. In 1990 we had 120 murders, more than any other census tract in the US. A brain was better than a gun any day. Having said that, at home my 12 gauge with a 'street sweeper' attachment was never too far away. As far as handguns go, I always preferred revolvers over autos. They don't leave spent shell casings behind and there's no safety to fiddle with.

Ive done revolvers, the old .45 thunder ranch 4 inch barrel in .45 was a good shooter. You could empty it without any fear in a hurry. Reloading took speed loaders in bundles pre assembled. Moon clips and such is the story there.

But for now I'll stay with the desert eagle. Fits my big hands well enough.

A new option is to import a .45 Arsenal which is two 1911's built as a single unit, 14 rounds fired side by side in the time it takes to discharge 7.Rounds discharge to both sides after firing at the same time on a single slide.

It's out of Italy. It is built as described at the factory from materials. It's not a hack job or a mod. Everything about the Arsenal is spec'cd. The one advantage is you can do a reload one time (Magazines are double singles made into one metal unit with 14 rounds) and match the output of a 30 rounder glock stick.

Here is a wiki on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsenal_Firearms_AF2011A1

You tube videos are available. It's a very expensive gun in US Dollars between 5000 to 7000 each.

Delivered at some cold storage in Louisiana at 3am. Short on hours the GPS showed a TS 8 miles away. I got there about 11am. Took a nap, preplan was the next day. I woke up at 20:15 and went inside the gas station-truck stop- restaurant to find that the restaurant closed at 8pm! First bad sign!

Looked online and found a local Dominoes and ordered a pizza. 20 minutes later they called back and said they do not deliver to the area I am in!!! I seat belted the door handles and kept my tire checker hammer next to me in the bunk. Woke up at 9am the next day without even a LL knock on the door.

Out of Italy though huh like I said my gun knowledge isn't the best but 5 to $7,000 I believe you but that seems outrageous for a gun but I'm guessing it's probably also sought after with gun collector's I would imagine... Are they still pressing on or have they stopped making them?
