Hello,
Last week I got a ticket in my personal vehicle for failing to stop at a red light. I was at the light for over 11 minutes, thought the light was broken since the car in front of me turned, and got a ticket. CR England fired me within the same day of me, disclosing the ticket. Applied for a CRST and they would not hire me because of the ticket. Are there any companies that will hire me now with this kind of violation? I was with CR England for five years, no accidents, trainer, excellent record with them with the exception of this one ticket. Thank you for any help.
Personal Vehicle Ticket; Will I work again?

Did you plea guilty yet? You can probably get it dropped in court if you fight it, especially with a solid attorney — your reasoning for doing so is valid and any empathetic judge will probably agree.
It’s not on your MVR until you plea or are found guilty, so you’re not doomed yet hopefully.
But, even if you are found guilty, that ticket won’t ruin your career. Your 5 years experience and one (potential) moving violation is overqualified for most carriers with more leniency than megas — at least, I would think.Stonehjl, tscottme, Tb0n3 and 1 other person Thank this. -

With CR England for 5 years and fired for running a red light????? Dude, there'd be not truck drivers if this were the case. In a personal vehicle to boot?

Even dispatch in the office was crying when I left because I was one of the best drivers they had. I never called out and had been promoted many times through the yearsaustinmike and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
See, they need to do it the Texas friendly way. Stop lights in 55 MPH zones......no chance. They send you a picture of what you did, you send them $100, and all is forgiven. Texas friendly......LOL
austinmike, JolliRoger, alds and 2 others Thank this.
