Pet Peeves

My biggest is,
Dipsatched on a load dispatcher shows (example) 3AM Get to shipper early to find out that 3AM was the 2-3-4-5or6 hour stage time.

Lost several hours of needed sleep because they won't tell you it's stage time.

If had known that would have gotten some more sleep.

I've just finished my second week of training. Our first drive we were up shifting and down shifting on a 4 lane and I wasn't happy about slowing up everyone else, but it was a 4 lane and we kept our 4 ways on. The next trip we were on skinny little 2 lanes (at least they seemed skinny) and some of the students were a little slow and got traffic lined up behind us. We have "Student Driver" on our trucks, but if I was going somewhere I would have been upset! I have benifited so much from reading on this site and hope to join you all on the road soon, but it's a little intimidating driving that big truck and trailer down the highway. Monday, we'll be driving around town. At least I'm learning about proper courtesy from all the drivers on here.

 

amen...some guys never turn their jakes off and still have them on when they're going 5 mph in the truckstop...duh

ROFMAO.................HAHAHAHAHA

 

Four wheelers who pull up past the stop bar at a light or other intersection.

 

They are the fun ones, I pull right up to their bumper and make them back up. I've even popped the brakes and sat through a few light cycles till they get the hint.

My biggest s the drivers who are just plan out to lazy to signal your clear but turning the lights off and back on. Instead have to use the High beams. Same as getting flashed by a Camera Flash.
