Three wires going into this four prong switch. 2 wires are going to the jakes and 1 wire is going down to the switch on back of pump. Other wire on the back of pump is going to the clutch switch. Which wire is continuously “hot”?![]()

On which switch .? The switch on the dash ? I’ll be honest with you the only way I can tell you is your going have to test each wire on the dash switch because I can see in the picture somebody has been in the rutting around . I can tell you what color and # number it should be but some body has cut all the ends of the wires and run the same color wire. It should be one of the 2 wires in the middle terminals of that switch
I will also tell you that more than likely the switch on the clutch peddle is probably bad and the switch on the pump you can adjust but it it controls your low idle which you want it set at 800 rpmsBean Jr. and mile marker 27 Thank this. -
Yeah, it’s been rewired, cobbled in places and wire color means little, at this point. I’ve got a 359 wiring schematic but it only shows Cummins jakes. None of the wires at the switch are hot with key “on”. Unless something is wrong at the dash switch, then I’m guessing power, is coming from one of the wires at the switch on the pump? It then make a loop through the clutch switch, then up to the dash switch, then out to the jakes? Maybe I’m arse backwards on it??

I got a ton of stuff to do, especially on farm equipment. Drink a couple beers towards the end of the day and why I walked over and started tinkering on this is beyond me. I’m a glutton for this crap.
