Attempting to label me as the "resident peterbilt expert" and whining about your balls being broke all in the same post!!
For all you know I'm a KW expert.. :smt075..
References to cult followings and morons gives your "QUALITY" opinion but it also makes your post offensive since I'm the guy who designs all sleeper doors..

OH NOW I GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your not a driver....your the designer of trucks. no wonder your so offended by us drivers who have to live and work in these trucks...well im so sorry for any thing i have said to offend you.. i didnt know engineers were so touchy and easily offended by criticism about what they design. why dont you get input from the guys who live and work in them and design something that works and that we like.
359kool Thanks this. -
It's certainly fun to get 'em wound up...Isn't it?
a. Too heavy
b. kind'a funky inside like an RV or something
c. Too boxy and ugly on the outside and they take away from the lines of the truck.
I have found an alternative to the run of the mill aftermarket sleepers that's SWEET!
When I get the project underway I'll post pics.
It might be a year or so before I do it though.
KW already did that.
Nah....Pete headlights and fenders are ugly enough on Petes...Let's leave them there.
Good times!
Nothin' more fun than a" wrench in the works!"
Don't worry....I never mistook you for either. -
I ain't easy or touchy though..
I have been reviewing these posts for research purposes and here at KW ( better known as paccar ) we've decided to make a few changes in order to provide the utmost in quality and comfort to accomodate our loyal drivers..
First priority is to recall and replace the standard high back drivers seat with new "porcelain king" crappers since the drivers of these trucks are so full of shhitt.. -

You can have your overpriced Junk Pete's. I am no intentions of ever buying another one.... I'd buy a 1974 K-100 off from ebay before I ever buy another Pete... and I'd get a better truck. -
I too have owned both and have to say the W900 is the best of the best but thats just my 2 cents worth

My next ride will be a Rambler...

well 359kool heres to hoping the big wigs a paccar dont find out your out here putting down, berating, and badmouthing those of us who buy your product. it would be real sad for you to be out of a job.

I have an '09 KW T2000 (yes I know, its an sloped hood truck, we're talking about long noses) but I have driven a W900 and a 386.
The W9 I drove had an air leak, only drove it as a loaner while mine was in the shop. It rode awesome empty but as soon as you put a load on it, it was rougher than a 'shaker. Nice truck nonetheless. Definitely had to think twice about the step-down in the sleeper. =)
The 386 has a funky clutch, couldnt really get used to it in the little amount of time I spent in that truck. As far as I could tell it was basically a 389 with a sloped hood and a setback steer axle.
