I wouldn't doubt it. Everyone hates on the emissions, and they do have their faults - but protect yourself with some warranties and you'll minimize the issues. Every year the systems get more and more reliable. Going to extremes to avoid emissions is just silly. Gliders are going to be required to meet standards soon, and gliders always have their own issues anyway.

It is a very good engine. I have the mx 13 455hp. Got it with 57000 miles. It now has 300000 miles. Only issues have been sensors and things. Engine itself is solid.
Did you ever figure out what was wrong? My husband is having the same problem now and has done the same as you with new parts including radiator
