I honestly haven't seen a DEF truck run under normal conditions pulling a load that is under 240 degrees most of the time. I think the bottom line is these emission trucks run a lot hotter oil

All the good reviews of the mx 13 are from drivers that have under 200,000 miles on them. I’ve had a 2014 T680 since April 2018, it’s now November and it’s been in the shop 5 times for a total of 19 days. It’s always the same problem, something in the dpf system is failing causing check engine light, def light blinking, engine debate among many other sensor problems. We got an extended warranty that covers a lot of it but some it doesn’t. You can’t find many techs that even work on em, and you can’t get parts other than from a salvage yard if it’s not sold from a dealership. Rediculous prices when you do have to buy something. For example, a #### water pump is almost a GRAND! Any fool with a brain and 2 hands can replace it in 20 minutes but they charge you 4 hours labor and 9 times what the part costs to fix it at the dealership. This truck, and the company I am leased to bought 12 of these this year, has cost me thousands in down time and thousands in repairs the warranty doesn’t cover. I would run from these trucks with paccar engines as far as you can. Oh and the other 11 have all made several trips to the shop as well. We’re lucky because we buy our trucks from the company we drive for and don’t have to worry about a bank repossessing our #### for not making the payments because if we can’t run, they don’t withhold our payments. So if you go finance one of these trucks, you better be in #### good financial shape or you will be bankrupt WHEN, not if, Al Gore’s clean air system starts failing. Warranty is up soon and gonna get a delete done, if it still gives trouble, I’m trading the pos for a Detroit or Cat powered truck. I’ll never buy another truck with a paccar engine.

Better not buy a Cummin either.
Emission parts are nearly the same as on the Paccar engine.
Waterpump is expensive because it has a clutch.
Why was yours replaced?
A visible leak or traces off coolant around the pump? -
I'm looking into purchasing a truck with the mx just curious what's the cost for a rebuild on these engines in frame and out price

I have a 2013 t660 with the mx13 in got it around 550k and at first I hated it egr issues def issues but I got it deleted about 60k ago and i now have 776k on and i haven't had a issues pulls better usually only dropping one gear getting about 495 hp after delete definitely but than the isx I wasnt about of the c15 cat world or the Detroit 60 but i would pick the paccar hands down over anything that out (dd15, isx, vnl)
