Nah, they had safeguards for their own safeguards when it came to changing any of that mess. I learned to deal with it the best I could until they threw in a driver facing camera to the mix and then I just had to turn in my keys and move on. My sanity is slowly returning

 

I know I’m super late responding to this in 2024 but thier is a way to get around the bendix system in a 579 (at least ) all you need is aluminum foil a ratchet with a 8mm socket you can either keep the plug connected to the black box or in my case disconnect that bs and put aliumim foil around the box the only issue with this is your cruise control will stop working but other then that problem is gone
