I run air bags on the steer of my log truck that has the air trac, my setup is hme built with freightliner bags, but a loadshare makes a nice setup that is not too bad price wise, been thinking about putting a set on my KW.
I also have blocks on the steer to raise it too though, my air trac never bottoms out, even on log roads or frost heaves and heavy, the wear plates does look like it does, but that is from dropping the air.

Here is some information for you on Peterbilt air ride suspensions and ride height. To give the Petes a little rake, most guys I know run stand up 24.5 on the steers and lo-pro 24.5 on the drives.

Why would you want to do that, we have some guys that run 12 24.5 on the steer to ride a little smoother.

I have a question, is there any way to soften the ride on a 2019 389 extended cab Peterbilt with heavy spec suspension. It has the air trac rear end the front is taper leaf springs.

I think in this thread we were talking about lack of rear suspension travel and the rake was potentially a way to increase it.

We use blocks on the steer axle to raise it some, mainly to get rid of bump steer we get on the dirt haul road, but some claims it does help with the ride. No one and I mean no one is going to run low pro anything on that rough road, it does not matter what kind of suspension a guy has. There is some that run tall 22.5s for drives and 12 22.5 on steers, as they have more side wall flex and the ride improves, even a few that run them all the way around.
