big rubber and 3.36 rears will give you that, had a bullhauler pass me one night in OK like I was going backwards, grabbed the radio and he said he was doin 105.

It looked like it out accelorated and out ran the pickup. It happed to me one time in a ford ranger I-4 ext cab. A pete got on the freeway infront of me and left me in the dust. The ranger wouldn't out run a fat man walking.

I can't claim to have driven any truck that'll out-accelerate a 5.3 Chevy, but I drove a raggedy old Pete 362 for a while, joining the occasional bullhauler convoy. Gave it up pretty quickly, though. I just wasn't comfortable going THAT fast.
My Peter-Meter was wrapped up outta range, so I can't tell you how fast we were really going.
