Can't stand driving wide cab trucks, don't really care about the looks just weird me out how far the passenger seat is from you. Will stick to my narrow cab truck until they either don't give me a health card or the ministry of truth makes them illegal every where and go work at the local hardware store

The last 2 generations of them have been fine, the ones before that were junk.

    Siinman and Oxbow Thank this.

That photo had my brain tell me, everything is just fine. Yes, the beloved 389 will soon no longer be produced but there is a great looking truck waiting to take up the mantle.

    IH9300SBA and Rugerfan Thank this.

I like them from the front, but the side profile of that humongous windshield is gonna take me a minute

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I’m liking the looks of the 72” flattop. All I’d do differently is get a small door on the driver side so you have the same size windows on both sides of the bunk.

Overall, I might walk past one of the 589s in a parking lot if I was in a hurry and not pickup that it wasn't a 389.

    Long FLD Thanks this.

Door lines/windshields look iffy, I don’t hate it though

The hood is straight line on top. Almost appears to run up hill toward the grill, as all the extended hoods do when properly adjusted.

Looking at the rest of it it looks to have a rearward rake to it. Almost like they are trying to get a little benefit from aerodynamics late in the game past the hood. Course I’m no engineer and that may work. I’m no truck manufacturer either and it’s probably easier to put a cab and hoog together that do not fit and Bondo in the bare spots. I’m sure comfort and visibility are better.

It’s said that the old heads always oppose change. I remember seeing a brand new 87 359 sitting right beside a brand new 87 379. All the boys hoping for a new truck not a new to them truck we’re also dead set on the 379. Non Unibilt small walk through frame etc. no changes yet major changes. Again it’s better than I pictured and if you look at the original long hood trucks they looked raked back as well
