Always the first thing that catches my eye when I see an old A-model, hood running uphill to the emblem.
That juxtaposition of the square radiator and raked windshield just doesn't quite sit right to my eye. Tipping the radiator back is probably an absolute no go for that market, but I have to wonder if rounding the nose by increase the shell radius just a touch would make it look more of a piece?

So you're paying a bunch more money for the same truck just with a different hood?
ducnut Thanks this. -
Yes. Exactly the way it’s always been. Look at any trucks from any manufacturer from the same era and they use the same cab. Not sure why it’s such a surprise.
Deere hunter, larry2903, wore out and 2 others Thank this. -
It's like the equivalent of giving your wife $50,000 to always wear of Halloween mask just so you can think she's a different more hot woman when in reality nothing truly has changed.

A Classic XL was more than an FLD120. A Coronado was more than a Columbia. A W900L was more than a T600. A 379 was more than a 377. You’re acting like using the same cab and sleeper across a product line and charging more for a long hood is something new.
Identical specs it’s probably a $10k difference. But an Ultraloft 579 is likely more expensive than a 589 with a small flattop if they have the same drivetrain.Deere hunter, larry2903 and kylefitzy Thank this. -
589s looking way more expensive than 579s. Much much more $ just for the hood.
Deere hunter and ducnut Thank this.
