It only took Peterbilt from 2008 until now to put matching steps on both sides at the factory.

It was a 567. I didn’t know that model was available with an Ultraloft.

The 567 is a really nice truck. I wanted to get one to replace my stolen 389 but I would have waited forever for it.

Gawd! That’s one ugly truck. I can’t believe how many I see on the road, everyday. Must be because they’re the only thing left sitting on dealer lots, so people resort to buying them.

I looked at the high end one with the big bunk. It was pretty sweet. I chose the 4900, but I’m leaning hard towards the 567 next time.

So when are we gonna get an upgrade to the 386 Pete? Why'd they ever stop making them ? I love my 386

The 567 would be so much better with the legacy dash. To bad they got rid of that dash for the digital crap

The simple answer is it’s in the greenhouse gas stuff that they have to use technology to essentially make things tamperproof. They want to get to the point where how it leaves the factory is how it stays. Notice how Elkhorn Valley is swapping Cats into late model used trucks now? That’s because the digital dash won’t talk to old engines. Last year when the digital dash came out in the 389 he Cat swapped one and it wouldn’t even crank over.

My friend has a new W9 coming into Yakima next year and they’re telling him that if they want to keep building the W9 that’s it’s going to have to get a dash redesign in the next year or two so that it uses the digital panel.
