Peterbilt check engine light came on with battery light?

I have found that high cold cranking amp batteries tend to fail faster do to the plates being closer together. I also done some research on using a salt water mixture instead of acid and water. The salt water makes batteries last longer. They also say you can bring alot of bad batteries back by dumping out the acid and water and putting in salt water. I have not done that yet but I have been doing the salt water trick and it works great.

 

Ever seen Gilligan's island where they charged the radio batteries with salt water?
