Peterbilt drivers be like...

I don’t like the leg room in a 359. They remind me of a Kenworth….what? fur the floorboard turning up at an angle at the pedals toward the firewall. Legroom is so important to me that I bought an inferior truck (389 instead of a W900). 359’s have them all beat in the looks department though!

 

I will say the 389 has it for leg room and the clutch pedal through the floor is 100x easier on my knee, if only they could make the interiors stop squeaking/rattling at 15k….

I refuse to drive any 06ish + kw with that new dash, the clutch pedal is right against the kick panel to so there’s no way to stretch out, and if you slide the seat back you can’t reach anything, my b cab isn’t as bad for that.

I tried lowering my seat way down to see How in the F dudes do it and I feel like a fat oversized kid riding the neighbors tricycle. I bumped it up a little at a time and literally don’t see how dudes do it? Apparently My legs are to #### long to be cool. Makes my legs and back hurt. I reckon I’ll just be that nerdy ### Pete driver.

I can't & won't argue the leg room issue in a 359 ... As much as I personally have a great fondness for 359s .. they have their share of flaws too ..
I'am 6'.1" and I can not bring myself to hack the back of a 359 up to make it a big hole.. I have nothing against anybody that does their smarter than me
But what I have done from trial & error over the years is I have put low base seats in my preference is seats out of a 579 low base.. then I automaticly cut a 1" out of the clutch peddle rod and put a custom bend in it that feels comfortable to me I also install a 18" steering wheel ..
But again this is what works for me and how I feel comfortable driving ...
