I absolutely love the 379 but the old school halogen headlights seem a little lacking. I was considering buying some JW Speaker 8800 Evolution 2 headlights for it. Those are pricey but supposedly good. What aftermarket solutions have you guys done and how's the result? I don't care about looks. I just want to see better.
Peterbilt headlights upgrade to something better?

On my freightliner classic I got tired of replacing the sealed beams constantly. I hate the look of LEDs. I went with the housings that Hella makes with the glass lense that you can put an H4/9003 bulb. Last alot longer and are bright. Lense looks factory
Coolbreezin and Bret1984 Thank this. -
The Speakers are good lights. I put the low beams in & going to do the high beams later.
Isafarmboy and Bret1984 Thank this. -
I can definitely see that. However it is a company truck. So if all doesn't go well at some point it's easier to just put their headlights back in and take mine with me vs swap out the whole assembly. I got a pickup that can use them.Derailed Thanks this.

That's why I was considering them. Very well reviewed and have a rep for being top notch. Just pricey.

Speakers are your best bet, I had a set in my Kenworth for seven years when I sold it and they still were performing as when I bought them.
Bret1984 Thanks this. -
Oh, if they last that long then they're well worth the money.

One headlight, though, had the heated part die around year 5.
I wasn’t worried though, that outlived my expectations.
If I ever get that type of truck again, I would get a non heated headlight and put 3M on it and change it yearly to prolong its life. -
Non heated is cheaper too.

Yeah, swapping out like that they'd last forever.
