If the axle bore is worn. Try to find someone that can install the stemco bushings. I have a local shop that does it, in house or at your shop. I was impressed with the whole process. I have had the axle surgeon out also , and would take the stemco style any day.

The kingpin is the strongest single componet on a tractor trailer. Begging pardon. I have never touched a kingpin for being bad. 5th wheels certainly, sloppy like a overused #####. But kingpins?! Come on.

He's talking about he king pins on the front axle, not the one that attaches the trailer.

    *Bangs head.

    Continues to bang head harder....

I think I go quietly into the woods and shoot myself. Ive displayed my ignorance for all the world to see and cannot live with myself ever again. Oh the agony.

My chosen shop for suspension work charges $1200 for kingpins. That includes an alignment and new hub seals.
