I worked for a company that had cat c-15 motors in T800's and I you can get the DD15 or the ISX Cummins for the Cascadia.
Nothereoften Thanks this. -
I applaud the effort to post the link, BUT, please re-read my post, the "SHORT HOOD, SPLIT FENDER" T 800 is NOT avaible with anything over a 13 litre motor.
The picture YOU posted is of a 120 BBC T800, it has the one piece hood fenders, that IS NOT a short hood truck it has a 123 BBC, there IS a difference. I'm not trying to be an ### about this, but over the years we have always had to run short BBC's because of our trailer length and BOC to trailer spacing, I was always looking for the largest motor we could get in said platform, and you can not get over 13 litre in MOST cases.larry2903 Thanks this. -
as for the OP's ? Long or shot hood Pete doesn't matter much. Its a matter of opinion. The turning radius is asanide period. I've seen short hoods that don't turn like my long hood and I've seen trucks that are stretched that turn better than mine does. Its all about axles and the truck itself. I'm sure most won't agree with that but drive my boat for a week and you'll understand what I'm saying. -
we can debate this all day and all night but the real difference is simple.
The chicks dig em.......379exhd, Dorsey, Joetro and 1 other person Thank this. -
NOT a "SHORT HOOD" T-800, you guys DO understand that they do make different length hoods on the SAME model truck right. That's why if you use the CORRECT model destination it will read something like this, T-800/123" or T-800/113"larry2903 Thanks this. -
7.3 cowboy and 379exhd Thank this.

There are 2 lengths of Cascadia BBC and 2 ISX engines if I remember right, I have seen the Cummins C on both BBC lengths of them.
I haven't seen a 112 Columbia glider that I noticed; every one has been a 120.
Back to the Cascadia, the DD13 is what is usually in the shorter one, and the DD15 and DD16 in the 124. I'm thinking the shorter 1 is 116 inches BBC.
Companies wanting the ISX have reasons, maybe they think it is a way to get an ISX where the engine choices in what they had are now unavailable. Many of these companies are running International primarily and started buying Cascadias rather than buying the Maxxforce. The local grain haulers, my neighbors, are buying new Kenworth T-800s with the MX, complete with the DEF tanks on the right sidepopcorn169 Thanks this. -
I have a funny feeling that this is going to be a long drawn out debate. I think a lot of the OP's question would be best answered as it is a preference to some people and there are some differences though.
25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
I did not know the difference about the Cascadia.
