I'm in a '12 KW t660 with the paccar motor, it must be blessed, but I've done well as far as shop time. Other than once with a DEF sensor, it's only gone to the shop one other time for a routine EGR tune up, wound up being 2 days in the OKC dealership. Things kept turning up, and the guys would need to order another part. . . crap!
The mpg would be about 7 if it had an APU. The idle in the winter knocks the numbers down, but during the summer the ECM was at 7.4, reality put that a bit lower. And this dog is heavy with the big sleeper.
I have been in an '07 t800 that did real well on fuel and it drove great. Had heard a lot of bad talk on the Cat motors for the year, but that dog didn't need to go to shop once in the 140K I drove. It had a short single bunk sleeper that was a good fit for myself, being 5'7", but a bigger guy may not like that setup.
