That’s how much they were a Freightliner for a long time. It was a good deal back then, but eventually they raised the prices quite a bit. It was at least 7-8 yrs ago. Very good seat. Best value. Cushions are soft, more comfortable than my Pinnacle or the Maximizer IMO. They’re both too hard of cushion. Selling point is more durable. Who cares? A piece of wood is even more durable. Lol.

freight-liner in seabrook NH actually is (or was) the cheapest places around here and no sales tax, I bought 8 or 9 of them up there for everything in the yard, think I was getting heated high backs for $700 back around covid

Hope that new seat they get has wing nuts and quick disconnect air line. I can see the next driver, "um boss, that truck you assigned me has no seat",,boss grumbling, J-MAN!!!! Took his seat, go find them, boys,,,generally speaking, not many people sink money into a company trucks. Maybe chrome hubcaps from the ditch, but they would love for you to "donate" that seat, but usually, it stays.
