Peterbilt steer axle rear spring hanger angle

hi folks. Can anyone tell me what the proper angle of my steer axle rear spring hanger should be. I have a 379 EXHD with a 12000 lb. front end. I had my springs changed about 2 years ago with new everything. A friend has told me that the angle of my rear spring hanger tells him my springs are done. Original springs were in there since new (2003).

 

Thank you guys. I replaced the springs with Triangle springs which I was told were a good product. I will take a closer look at them today to make sure I got what I paid for. Can you recommend a good spring. My Peterbilt dealer sells Chinese junk

 

thanks for the comeback goody. I agree. My peterbilt dealer carries an OEM spring which is made in china and TRP products that are also made in China, so I have to shop around at independent spring shops for American made. As some of us know, china is buying up a lot of scrap metal and melting it down to produce aftermarket parts. These products are so inferior because of lack of strength that they should not be sold for safety reasons. As far as drums go, I only buy Webb or Gunite until I find out they are made in China, at that point I don't know what I'll do.
