As much as I hate freightliner's I'd have to pick it over the Pete cause paccar motors suck more then freightshaker's and I think detriots are descent motors plus it's new so that would be an easy decision to me.

Thanks everyone. Yeah, my gut was telling me to go with the freightliner (blehhh). The 20 min thing is how SFI handles their stuff. You get that time on the Monday you show up for orientation. I guess their whole thing is since the truck is supposed to go through a thorough reconditioning process when it's turned in that there shouldn't be any issues.
And yes I think that is complete and utter bs. I wouldn't buy a car without a thorough road test prior to signing for it, why would I take that risk on a rolling mortgage payment?Road Killer and Mattflat362 Thank this. -

If you think it's bs then why are you even considering this deal?

Take the Freightliner. People joke about them. But the DD15 is hard to beat. And stop and think , the Pete is cheap enough to pay off in a year. What do they think of it? Not it a heck of a lot. They are selling it cheap , to get rid of it. Best of luck! Little advice , a DEF system , keep it full! You see that white powder around the pumps? That is what happens when DEF dries. It dries in the top of your tank , then washes off to stop up the system. Dare say 75% of these systems issues starts at.

We have some MX motors in our company trucks. I drove one as loaner 2 weeks ago and wasn't impressed. Paired with a 13 spd it was ok, but my Mack pulled better then the Paccar did. They like to be lugged, but I found the turbo really lagged morevthen I liked. Personally, I'd go with the Freightliner. The DD15 is a proven def motor.
I completely disagree with the Carolina vs Mexico built. The day cabs built in Mexico we had in Chicago in Intermodel held up a lot better then the one's built in Carolina.Road Killer Thanks this.
