if brokers based their business on former employees then this board would be used. They only base their opinion whether to work with you or not on 411. That’s different. So I treat it as different. That information isn’t public.

I don’t look at a building contractors suppliers to determine if I should hire him, I look at his work and references and reviews. But if I was a supplier and needed to extend credit to him I would look at his credit report which is filled with information relevant for me. That’s the difference.

I don’t agree on 411’s business practices, it’s basically bullying carriers into being mindless slaves.

 

I wonder how many of her subscribers and how many people that are worried about Carrier411 have 7 digit DOT numbers that start with a 3 or a 4? If I were a broker and saw a carrier that had a 7 digit starting with 2 or lower and they had a freight guard or two I probably wouldn’t be concerned. But if I saw a newer carrier with reports then I’d probably move on to the next one.

 

Once poeple hear things about themselves after they call on load posted on DAT it becomes public imo.
Yes, the service is restricted to certain group of people but they project therein contained opinions outside.
This site, with some proportions in mind, got to a rank of a spot market credit bureau where creditors base an opinion of what they read there and make decisions...therefore false entries should not be allowed.

Seems with Carrier411 it can segerated a larger carrier from a small carrier or carrier running one truck. Not a good or fair situation for the small carrier. Money runs the cut in this business so bais blame can be placed with the Brokers who are 'buddy buddy' with the larger carriers or favored carriers underhanded handing a 'certain' sum of money to a broker who now is the 'King Gate Keeper' controlling a majority of the good paying loads. I'm now wondering if the economy is about to change for the better and things are getting setup to get rid of small one to 5 truck carriers in order of straining out the competition for total domination of the market?
