a friend of mine said he did 4200 on elogs, i guess its possible, all drop and hook, cross country, pedal to the medal type of stuff

too much stress for me, chasing a clock

i like being able to do 4200 at my pace, much more rested, less stress, not staring at a clock

Not running harder. Running smarter. There's a difference. Because paper logs have 15 minute increments, everything had to be logged that way. Not so with the e-log. Everything is by the minute. Which means you save time. Time fueling, drop and hook, loading/unloading, even driving. You gain more work time because those 6 minutes here and 8 minutes here add up. At the end of your week, you have more time on your 70. That's how I make more money. I have more time. And I'm better rested.

    joe

not for nuttin, something isnt adding up

i pull into a fuel stop at 13:03, after waiting for the guy in front of me to come out of the shower, its 1312, i start to fuel, pumps cut off at 1317, i go in and pay, check out the restroom, get a soda and i am back out at 13:30

my log says 1300 offduty, 13:15 fuel 1330 back on the road

where did you win or i lose in that? 5min on the fuel? i will accept that as a cost of doing business, i will make it up when i shut down

    TruckerSue Thanks this.

You must log 15 minutes on duty on a paper log for fuel. That's the only way to log it. As soon as I start the pump, I put "On Duty-Fueling". As soon as its done, I go to off duty. Could be 7 minutes at the most.

I case you missed your logging 101 class going off duty/on-duty not driving only stops the 11 hour clock, your 14 hour clock is still ticking. You have 14 hours to get 11 hours of driving in. Your wasting a lot of time somewhere if you gotta "rush fuel" your Elogs.
