Petition to stop EOBRs

I thought I would chime in, but then I decided I didn't care. Good luck, sign away I think its a great idea use your voice any way you can. Who cares if it makes a difference, it's more important that you use the rights you are given.

 

You should've already signed the petition. Its called job security .

 

As a o.o we could just use a laptop with a program and edit any hours anyways. I don't see how this is helping anything.

 

Because if you honestly think they are going to be mandated (which they will not be) they are not going to allow the owners pick and choose which EOBRs systems they want to run. They will try to force owners to pay the highest amount for a specific EOBR.

 

I'm starting phase two of my plan on Monday.

 

I have read up on the requirements for EOBRs.....Just a few selected companies will manufacturer them...And at the rate we're going...Most will be Chi-Com companies....

Also....The owner/user of the EOBRs do not own the information stored on them....According to the DOT...They would "own" the information stored on the EOBRs....

That's sticky point with me.....

 

Same with me.

The big companies have a way of fixing the error of the driver, yet, you will not be able to.

In addition the cost of monitoring is the cost to the owner. What might the cost be if you enter Canada? After all, phone, gps on phone, and internet are expensive.
