And that's why the big companies are pushing them, they'll just adjust the EOBR for the driver that sat 8 hours loading into a 10 hour break and tell them to start driving, even though the driver may have been up the whole time. I see more accidents after this mandate goes into effect. I'll bet the big companies wouldn't be as much for this if ALL the info from EOBRs was sent to one center where they couldn't get their hands on the info first.

    Tin Can Man Thanks this.

24,974 days to retirement. that equates to 80 years having only sunday off.

i'm pretty sure i'll be dead long before i hit 80 years old.

We'll see....Joan Claybrook and Public Citizen and; The Teamsters are pushing for all drivers to be on an 8 hour total...Not just driving for 8...But 8 hours total per day.....

That's why the new HOS proposal is tied-up in the courts......DOT could get us down to a 9 DT and 12 Total and they would go right back to court....PC and the Teamsters want that European model....I suspect they won't won't stop until we do become Europe.....

No. PC doesn't want us on the road at all , that why we're not in their way so they can text and drive.

The thing PC and all these other "We hate truckers" groups don't realize. By cutting our hours, we will have to have more trucks on the road to move the same amount of freight. Cutting our driving hours to 10 with the new HOS coming will add 400,000 trucks to the road. Have fun finding a place to park.

Of course the Teamsters are pushing for 8 hours, bu the funny thing is, they're not FORCED to work more than 8, so if they do, that's their own fault. Of course the union leaders want more drivers so they can pay for that third mansion and the new private jet with the more dues they collect.
