If you make more now running E-logs than you did while running paper than you are claiming to be making more than yourself. :biggrin_2556:

And if I had to turn 3657 miles a week to make a decent living then I would not be running for that company.

No it doesn't. It validates that E-log runners take 3 times longer to have the money to buy their wife a new car. Most company drivers make $30,000-$50,000 per year. I make alot more than that and I have my freedom to be home when I want. I wouldn't be happy to run e-logs even if they guarantee me the same amout of money. Yet you company drivers spend over 120 hours in somebody else truck for the peanuts they pay you and you are for some reason ECSTATIC that you have the pleasure of running E-logs. There is something wrong with your thought process.

Considering the number of E-Log drivers I've personally talked to who are happier than clams in mud about a $500/week net income check for running a hard 70 hours...I ain't driving that hard for that little. Just sayin'.

Did my time, had my fun. Glad I'm out!

I make this net in a day and most of the time a little more. Just sad that drivers are willing to run with nanny and be happy they make peanuts.

    How?.......

The morons with Public Citizen....The Teamsters...And Ray LaHood's office all want one solution for everything.......

So with that mindset......We should all be still driving Model T's......

I can tell you that EOBR's will not work for every operation in trucking......

Oil/Pipeline industry for one......Are you going to shut down a crew chasing leaks on a crude line because they might run over their 11 hour drive time?

LaHood is probably stupid enough to think he has the power to shut down all leaks at night and then resume the leaking after the drivers got their "10".....

How come in every other industry things happen and people somehow manage to deal with it?....

Has trucking becoming so wussified that every little thing has to be monitored and micromanaged from Ray LaHood's office?

I carry the FMCR's in my rig....And not the little driver's handbook you company drivers have....
I mean the full text and guidance that requires me to have an OW permit when I cross the scales at Trinidad or Monument because the effer weighs so much......

Why?...Because I make it my business to know just as much or more than the DOT......

You think LaHood knows more about the FMCR's than any of us who have been out here awhile?....

Hell....there were guys like the late and great Southern Pride who forgot more about regs than LaHood will ever know....

I do run the Rockies. And NYC and Jersey. I've made it work and so can anyone else.
