10-4 on that, volvodriver. I ain't made that little in a week of driving since my very first outfit back in the dear, dead days of 1998. And that was running for a measly .25/mile, another insult to qualified drivers even then.

I do better than any E-log running guy so why shouldn't paper work?
-
Ok.....So when Eisenhower/Johnson is closed down (In Winter when US 6 is closed down) for Haz-Mat every hour...And you wait in line....How do you log it?volvodriver01 Thanks this.

VD (Ha! VD...VolvoDriver, or Venereal Disease? Only time will tell, HA HA HA!),
Paper does work. Paper has worked since what, the 1930's? But paper ain't new and shiny and all digital. Paper requires a minimum bit of thought, and ain't as convenient as E-Logs. After all, I had to reach all the way down to the floor to reach my logbook when I stopped! It was a stretch, I tell ya! AND I had to dig out a pen AND a straight edge (can't draw a straight line without one, or even with one sometimes). I mean, geez! Just how much can we expect from some of our fellow colleagues?volvodriver01 and Rocks Thank this. -
I bet he says his E-log goes to showing off duty or on duty not driving if the truck is moving slower than ? mph.
Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
#1 thing about paper....It doesn't break down.....If an EOBR breaks down....According to DOT....The driver will have to maintain and produce a paper log anyway.....
And based on what I have seen thus far....Very few of those guys who love EOBRS....Know how to use pen and paper.....Oh well....Most kids today couldn't tell you the differences between an RTO and and an RTU.......
volvodriver01 and brsims Thank this. -
I thought you couldn't log off-duty when your vehicle was in the travel lane? But wait, if the vehicle is stopped, you could potentially set your E-Log to Off-duty, couldn't you? GASP, we've found a way to "cheat" the mighty computer! Egads!
Working Class Patriot and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
uhhh...whut are an RTO? or a RTU?
And here I thought I was too old to be a kid no more...I'm ging to Toys R Us!! -
As long as the computer is the one changing the duty status then its not cheating don't you know.
Working Class Patriot Thanks this.
