Well update. I got to ta and turns out the brake chamber was frozen. Big piece of ice. Was fun watching them clear it out. Hope I get out of this freeze soon.

When the roads are wet and it's going to drop below freezing, why don't drivers dry their brakes before parking? And why do guys set the trailer brakes? I don't understand this. I see guys all the time frozen in spot, brakes froze etc.... It's all unnecessary.
Like someone said, carry a good hammer for when you do goof up. I also carry couple bags of salt and a good snow shovel. If it's bad or I know I'm going to be stuck somewhere for while, I clean around my truck and throw the de icer all around too. Probably a bit over kill but....... -
No longer driver where that white stuff and frozen stuff hangs around.... -

Yeah....I had to use my torch to Heat the Lock Tumblers on my Locking Fuel caps to get the key to turn in Syracuse Tuesday....
Guy walks by me and says......"Be careful,We dont wanna blow up"......Rolled my eyes and said ....."Quiet"
He's that guy that believes in Super Singles, Trailer Skirts and subway restaurants.....And has NO cash -

A flare works too, in an emergency

I've always wondered why the tractor brakes don't freeze. I've always assumed that the drivetrains conducted enough heat through the metal to prevent freezing.
