Sad in the 80's that was a nice place to eat. Made it in there during a Snow storm. 1986 had been in traffic 8 hours. When troopers started putting trucks off the exit. Buddy of mine (Were both in International Cabovers) had his drivers wiper arm snap off. We were within a mile of the exit. He followed my taillights into the parking lot. He parks back next to the shop. We get out to go inside the shop. Hear this noise, turned out to be his truck. Winds had blown it sideways into a flatbed. That carwash got a little damage out of that deal.
We were stuck there 12 hours and it was still a madhouse that Monday morning trying to go north.sevenmph Thanks this. -

What your saying is that it taste like ####? Just another Fat Body Fast Food joint. Take away real food restaurants. You'd think with the new HOS and ELD's being implemented. The travel plazas would want to bring back restaurants so drivers would spend more time and money in the travel plaza. Most drivers where fast food places are in the travel plazas run in run out and eat in their trucks. -
This joint was family owned at one time. With a real restaurant. They made so much money the son proudly displayed his racing motorcycles in a glass enclosed garage outside. And the father displayed his gun collection on the walls leading to the restaurant. They also had 6 phones hooked up to WATS (free 800 outbound calls) so drivers could call home. They were always busy.
Gee Wilakers has this business ever changed a lot.
