They did not even have a single vegetable they could offer me except for a small side salad. Literally everything was protein and carbs. Not the first Petro I've been to that has this problem either. You would imagine that with 500,000 truckers being diabetic, they would try harder to capture that audience. Especially with this "pandemic" hurting their business as much as it is. I just recently ordered my own fridge and freezer. Either revamp and change your menu, or get left behind. I'm sick and tired of having sugar and carbs shoved in my face 24/7. Time for healthier choices to be made.

You can usually score a salad at the fuel island.
The forces of evil are making this survival of the fittest. Think it's always been that way though.
I take a couple bags of the precut romaine, a couple bags of the stuff people normally use for stir fry, bags of baby carrots, tomatoes, a bottle of Ken's Balsamic ( Lite ), and WA-LA.
Last about 5 days in the ice chest.
Or you can eat pop tarts, make yourself sick, blame everyone else, then die.Trucker61016, Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN and 6 others Thank this. -
Veggie pasta, I dont do lettuce but do carry spinach and veggies, do miss my salad bars. But honestly that’s the only reason I eat in truck stops the 20 years or so. I use my insta pot and microwave. cook up healthy meals and easy to clean up as well.jcrack08, D.Tibbitt, TheLoadOut and 3 others Thank this. -
