That’s understandable. But for ups? I can understand they want you to look presentable and professional etc. , but a no beard policy seems a little much for an LTL driving job.

A fertilizer plant I went to just in the last year implemented a no pet policy even in your own truck. They even send out a security guy on occasion to check.
So I don’t go there anymore. Their rates sucked anyway.
Now if it was already like that before I got the dog, then I wouldn’t have a dog. But to suddenly change the policy, I can’t just dump a dog I’ve had for ten years. After the dog dies, then I won’t bother with another. In the meantime it’s my responsibility, kind of like alimony.

Nice. That's a sensable response. Thank you. They may have had a near tragic experience. 10 years ago, the Shreveport GM plant stopped letting trucks near the docks because a driver parked his truck in front of the docks to take his son on a plant tour. He shut down the plant for 20 minutes. These changes are usually the result of one ignorant person or one unfortunate animals behavior.

This is going to sound cool but it's not designed to. It just is what it is. Were guardless of everybody's individual situations Kama desires, and wishes. A job is a job. It is a place of employment, it is an occupation, what it is not is a place for everybody else to have to accommodate your particular individual issue or desire. I get that these people some people need these animals are these dogs but I still don't believe that a person should make a decision to get a job based on whether or not their dog is able to come with them. And mind you respectfully, I understand that this is only my belief.

That's because cats are more aligned with dispatchers, or worse... HR.
