You said this^^^^
But you also said this:
"That's not only 2,000 pounds less on the truck. That's also 2,000 pounds on the trailer. 4,000 pounds less load she could haul."

So I go back to my original question, how does 2000 pounds of dogs or whatever equal 4000 pounds less payload?
It doesn't.

I had someone respond to my job posting today. His response was, this job would be perfect except for the no pet policy. When did pets become so important that they decide where you will work? Has everyone in this country gone mental? If you're going to have a job paying you $80000, you would let your pet get in the way of that because your pet would not be welcome? Most companies do not allow pets on the premises. Should a Carrier decide what freight to Hall based on which locations will allow your pet on to their property? What happens if you're waiting to load for 2 or 3 or 4 hours in your pet is trapped inside? Should they allow your pet, to roam their premises and poop on their grounds because you can't do your job without having your pet with you? I'm sorry for this rant but people really get on my nerves with some of their ridiculous expectations.

10 4 driver but i guess to each there own... If he aint takin the job then hell send me some info cuz im interested if its payin 80k lol i couldnt imagine livin in such a small place with a animal i can barely stand myself sometimes

This whole thread...is hilarious.

It's all very simple tho.

OP owns the truck, he can have whatever policy, an good for him. Many others have a no pet policy.

Not sure why people are upset over others wanting their pet with them tho.

Anyway...here's a goat trying to be a duck.

Many shippers and receivers don't allow pets.

One company I worked for. Lady had 8 dogs on her truck. Those 8 dogs added 2,000 pounds to the truck.

Pulling a tanker. And not being able to distribute the weight. That's not only 2,000 pounds less on the truck. That's also 2,000 pounds on the trailer. 4,000 pounds less load she could haul. That's 2 tons. That's over 550 gallons she couldn't haul. I can't remember if those loads paid by the ton or gallon.

And those tankers had no baffles. Anything less then a full load was some serious sloshing around and surging.

Yeah this also includes other things, like primates.

I had a driver who got a chimp of all things from his sister's estate, this thing stank, threw crap all over the place and would bite strangers. He took a week off to help with the estate and took the thing instead of the car of his late sister.

I found out when another driver said something in passing about meeting up with the guy at some shipper and the shipper was not too happy but the thing was in the sleeper so it wasn't a big deal. SO I called the driver and he lied about the thing so I decided when he hits some place up here, I will get a chance to meet up with him and see for myself. I surprised him at the Detroiter where I saw the thing peeking out the sleeper curtains. I wasn't nice about it, just told him to get rid of it or he will be gone, well he was gone and those who went to recover the truck had to have it towed because of the stench.

So you guys think that it is alright to have chimps, orangutans and other primates, you do it in your own truck.

Maybe the primate was his co Driver. Should have ran them as a Team.

Never trust anyone who doesn’t like Dogs. My wife and I now have a 2 Nd Chihuahua in the Truck. They’re very little trouble. And very good Company and entertainment. I think this Guy needs a Dog.He’s too stressed out.
