check out some posts by @TROOPER to TRUCKER . . . he tore his rotator cuff working for Averitt, and they pretty much cleaned out his truck and palletized his stuff while he was out on med-leave *(still is)* . . . I've got local leads when you are ready. At least three. Flatbed OS/OD, Tanks, and Van / single screw (light loads).

ps: I'm too old for that Food hauling and it's one thing I've never done thank God. All else, been there. I've got an old injury i'm still recuperating from; it's never the same, unfortunately.

    TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

I'm sorry, was I not supposed to report my injury? That is exactly how you are coming across.

You had a lawyer within a week or 2 of a non-debilitating injury? Seemingly before any problems with claim. And you are surprised that they wanted to get rid of you

Hate to say this, but anytime you are not making money for any trucking company, you become a liability. And that means, "Goodbye."

They are not in the "caring" business, they are in the "trucking" business.

Having said this, I do have to say that my current employer has cut me some big-time slack in regards to medical/time-off a few times. But that is because I work out of a small terminal of a large company. Lots of personal interaction. Kind of the best of both worlds.

No, I got an atty when they were dragging their feet on getting the PT approved. 3 - 3 1/2 weeks.

Also, please see my previous comment about getting screwed over at another carrier due to a workplace injury.
