    Just got my call from Phil at PGT...they had a cancellation for Monday so I get to start Monday, rather than a week from Monday....gotta cancel with Watkins and Shepard, KLLM and Falcon....

    Not sure if you got it figured out or not, but you should be able to get home no problem. They have a detroit terminal right off of I75 I believe.

    yeah, they don't promise every weekend but most drivers are home every weekend with a load onboard to be delivered on monday.

    I've been hauling boats out of florida, mid-atlantic and gulf coast, pretty much jersey to texas. I've had a cdl (b) for 10 years, former crane operator/rigger, but only 6 months in the tractor. I have an apartment in northern Virginia just west of DC and planning to move up there. Do you guys think PGT will take a look at me or do I need more semi time? I would like to stick with the oversize or specialized end of the biz.

    If you're a gambler: As you have an A now; don't mention the other experience was B. It may slip through, it may not. Is this dishonest? Yes. But you have to look out for yourself. HOWEVER; The best course is to get two years in with the outfit you're with now. THEN you can pick and choose. The economy should be a great deal better by then.
