Is it me or are those 70+% numbers a little high?

it's not just the numbers !!!!

Look at the types of violations that the drivers receive.

Not putting MY cdl on the line, for anybody !!!!

Just remember that percentage is good only when there is lots of freight to run.. When they get slow the dead head will increase and you must figure that into your overall milage. I personally don't want percentage because you dont get anything for dead head exept for .20 cents a mile after 200 miles. I used to drive 800 to 900 miles a week dead head and I hated every mile of it. And to clarify that is 200 miles dead head for each load so it can get bad really quick.

 

As for the numbers,a lot of the problem is Drivers not doing their job properly, not keeping log book up to date,checking lights and tires,doing proper pre trips,load checks,etc.u are not pushed to run illegal at Pgt,they want u to run leagal, secure leagal,and be a professional, do your job and nothing to worry about piroblems with ur cdl.Pay is very good at Pgt,I would never work for a per mile company again.My paychecks are great,and I bust my but for them,if u can't make money at Pgt probably the drivers fault.

 

PGT trucking is a good company. I drive cement truck but my mom has worked at PGT for 17+ years. They treat their drivers well. And yes their trucks are take home. My mom is equipment manager and if you take the job their you wi deal with her quite a bit. She is good with the drivers. Does anything she can for them.

 

Their website tells you two things... Jack and squat... and Jack left town.
