It's been awhile since I was there, but having a Waffle House nearby was nice.

 

Waffle house done got bulldozed to make way for South loop of 202.

 

Well hell's bells.

 

Or it could give you the turbo-trots for a week. Your call.

 

It died magnificently. The only mistake the planners made was not having it go down the west side of 67th Avenue.

 

They need a memorial. Like a great general falling while leading his troops to victory, so should a Waffle House be memorialized in its continuing heroic efforts to bring us smothered, covered, and peppered.

And tho some may say that there are others that may give us the same pleasurable hash browns, to them I say: AP Hill was no Stonewall Jackson.
