I was there last week from Houston in Jack's orientation class on Monday the 1st for 3 days, then 2 days of flatbed class with Ray Pedersen. You're right about no mentors, I am coded, but I was told that they are training new mentors as we speak and that they are roughly 2 weeks behind.

Jack is one funny dude though. That one safety film they showed was disturbing. Jake Brake was pretty cool, food wasn't too overpriced.

One thing that stood out is the fact that truckers are just #$%#$% wierd, I seen one dude that looked like Charles Mansion, he got called in to go out with a mentor "again". Me and the other recruits were making fun of the weirdness of the other truckers there, I don't want to be that way when I grow up....some seriously strange cats....that's the thing about Swift, they'll hire "anybody" with a pulse.

 

i just got my mentor yesterday all. In some po dunk truck stop for the evening in bfe washington with no wabasco. sweet. its all been good tho mentor is good and he says im ready to go after two weeks but i gotta still get the 240 hours. watching generals daughter on a dvd player wasting the night away. but whatever i get paid the same
