Just stuff they didn't have done that was required before showing up. Permit, etc. So maybe delayed is a better word but they'll be in a later class I guess. The trainers and rest of the staff seem really good. Very friendly and helpful from what I've experienced in my one day.

Jim? Jim is back? Wait, I'm going to PM you a last name because if it's the Jim I'm hoping it is.......he's a great instructor. In fact I'd have quit in the middle of training if not for him. He even looked up an ex student of his who was female to come give me a pep talk.
such a nice man! -
I heard something about paperwork issues for the missing guys. As for as Jim goes, he's great too. I just love these guys. They make the school fun. Just wait until you hit the range, I hear the temp is going up a little, then down again.
Started the second week, and tomorrow, more off-setting. YAH!!!!! -
Second day done and now understand the importance of the log book. To say the least. Tomorrow we start backing. I haven't met any Jim's yet but if he's on the range that would explain why. Have only met Terry and Mike so far and both were very good.
Texas-Nana Thanks this. -

So that was pretty hot today, heard one of the instructors say 104 at one point.

Heard that. Funny that of all the trucking info I've researched I never saw that mentioned.
Talking about soreness from your quadricep muscle on your clutch leg. To be fair if you used the clutch that many times even in your car it would be sore most likely.Last edited: Oct 13, 2010

You think your tired and sore now. Wait until you reach week two. Lots of leg work and in and out of the truck. I saw you guys over on the straight line today. Doing good. If you have Howard as an instructor, you can't get any better. The man is a member of the 2 millon mile club and 23 years with UPS has made him who he is. He is great. Do whatever he says and he will help you through it.
