No, I am not kicking you.

When you posted earlier, it made me wonder about mine.

But then, I still am not sure if an officer saw it, like in a personal car or what.

    I am just as guilty.:biggrin_25514:

The conspiracy theorist in me would have been on high alert. I'd have figured it was a BS excuse to get the driver to stop... But then I pull a van too. Nobody would probably want to steal a load of dirt.

The only part I dont get is the ONLY thing on the door is WC and the CA #, not a name, and not a phone number...hard to look up WC on the internet or in the yellow pages, when in fact those are simply initials for our company name

If someone got your license plate number, either tractor or trailer and turned it in to highway patrol, a simple computer check will give you up.

What if the CHP was off duty? I think it was a good call and it shows that some people out there care about our safety. Who cares what he claims to be?

Couldnt agree more...perhaps he was off duty. Thats what I am going with. Perhaps it was just someone who was concerned, which I highly doubt. This guy's terminology for pintle hook and such caught my attention...not many average joes know where a pintle hook is, and know what to call it. And he had to get the phone number somehow.

And if you are a civilian calling it in, you have all my thanks and appreciation for taking the time out of your busy schedule to make the call. However, it is not necessary to represent yourself as CHP if in fact, you are not.

Looking up CA#s is easy, if you know how to do it. I know in the past I have contacted a company about an issue that need addressed.
