I think the one that ticked off my dispatch off the most was "The fog is so thick I can't see the building 50 yards in front of me, I'm going to be late as I'm not moving until it thins."

ATS in St Cloud MN, Company Headquarters downtown core. three acre gravel lot next to their wonderfully sculpted building. Put the big rig next to it. Got ready to go meet dispatcher for lunch. (Which they do with new hires back then...)

    BIP!

    Read message:

"Hey, so and so, you here yet? Its lunch hour."

    My answer on satellite?

"Look out your #### window, the rig is 10 feet from your precious headquarters I'll be at your desk in a sec."

    Response?

"I do not have a window on this side of building"

Safe to say lunch did not happen. HA... All I did was waste my two hours getting into and out of there.

If they don't load the truck on time, I can't deliver on time.

    "Hey Boss, Trucks gone."

(Flipped, load gone, totaled tractor etc)

"What do YOU mean it's gone?"

    Just that Boss, it's GONE.

OMFG And I have to tell THIS to the OWNER NOW? OMFG... today's not the effing day for that. Aint got time for that etc etc etc.

I wonder if it is possible to do a driver version of phrases. We are having fun with the dispatcher side, now I get idea we do drivers side...

Here's a couple they probably hear regularly.

    1. I'm not leaving here until the roller dogs are cooked past the safe line.

    2. My GPS can't find it and I can't read a map.

    3. I dvr'd The Voice finale and need to watch it first.

    4. I can't go to the Northeast, my flip flops would give me frostbite.
