“What do you think of this load?”

The rate is okay, but that tarp pay is atrocious.

“It’s a legal dim load. Our rate for a legal load is $150 tarp.”

My rate is $250/tarp. I need $500 for that load.

“Well, you’re not going to get that.”

Well, you’re not going to see me tarp.

“I know drivers that will tarp that for $50.”

Well, you may want to call one of them to take that load.

    “Well, you’re only hurting yourself.”

Do you know the difference between a lot lizard and a high end call girl?

Disp.: I have 2 drivers that can do that in 12 hrs.

Me: You should keep them. I quit.

(Jet fuel hauler that tried forcing me to drive over the legal hours)

I love dispatchers that say I got 100 drivers that can do this load.

Me: Oh good. Why you bothering me then?

"Its two #### inches on our USA Wall map for CT!!! And here you are late again... WTF Driver?"

(Explanation, dispatch office has a approximately 30 foot by 10 high wall covered in the Lower 48 states.)

I hate to wonder if there is enough inches to make the situation better someday... //snark

Real world problem Q Bridge closed to three truck wreck, 4 bodies needing removal from a school bus and 5 cars that all got together during the 6:30 am eastern rush hour in stormy weather no less.

That bridge on 95 was closed in CT for approximately 4 and half days that week. I had to baby sit that load in Phillipsburg NJ filling reefer tank 30 gallons at a time in -20 All we needed to do was go up Newburgh Bridge and 84 I think it was for the bypass to get to Mass. But dispatcher was very stubborn about out of route miles, no tolerance for them you see.

Fuel and more fuel and more fuel. What a week.

That's our resident heavy hauler @johndeere4020 . In the pic he already had sunglasses.

He'd tell the dispatcher "I'm ignoring you."

I leave you all with the very last thought I am capable of this morning.

    "Drumroll please...."

    The word?

    "No"
