Only if scores are used to determine promotions or which of several candidates to hire. It's a benchmark test, pass or fail. If only the top X% or Y number get hired, then yes physical agility tests might discriminate, but that's not what's going on here. If you look at the numbers there is no pattern of women being more likely to fail the test.
Also man might have an easier time with some tests, and a woman with others - like the squat under the trailer test. -
Ok...
So!
We have to be careful with these agility tests.
How often do drivers close doors against a wind representing the equivalence of 100 pounds force?
I've been in high winds.
I closed the ding-a-ling doors when the wind died down.
Broken doors required assistance. Guys get help, too.
Agility tests should be questioned if they are not in line with the "typical" day's work. -
The push part of that test is the reason why I'm at werner now. I was also off by from what I remember 2lbs which they should of just let me pass oh well

Do you have access to the statistics of the pass fail rate for men vs women applicants on stress tests? If not then your whole answer is conjecture. I know for sure that when I showed up for orientation there were eight of us and one was a black female of petite stature and she was the only one that failed.Last edited: Apr 27, 2018

Glad to know I wasn't the only one.

I think I was the only woman ; think because there was one other person that I couldn't tell.
But its ok. It gave me another year at home with my son which I can't get back. Now that he is going off to college, its time for us now.Midnightrider909 Thanks this. -
