Honestly I'm on information overload at the moment but all in all in doesn't sound THAT bad. From my understanding you still have the CHOICE to do what you want it's just there is a consequence if it doesn't benefit the company

My guess is they have had too many people either keeping empties when they go home or bobtailing out when they have too many empties in that area and you are headed to an area short on trailers.

As far as a lot of this negativity floating around...
Yes there is some crap to put up with here, as anywhere else..
Bare in mind it's you up against thousands of ICs competing for the same hot loads and getting the most out of the system is like paying a game.
I bumped into drivers out on the road that told me they have their wife or someone they're paying under the table to be refreshing the load board for them a lot while they're driving.
Meanwhile some of us here work during the day then get on the board at night when they're done driving and then complain how the loads suck on the board.. hmmm I wonder why!?!
That's what some of us are up against here among other things.
Take Landstar for example, some drivers built good relationships with brokers and get phone calls on good loads before they ever reach the board.
Anyways still I'm sure many of us know that there is no better system/program out there, especially for less crap and more money .
I have to remind myself that sometimes when I get really pissed like yesterday with another POS TA9 series trailer.. because that the end of the day I'm making more money than I ever dreamed could have been possible two years ago when I started out, along with that fact I do what I want to do.. not what somebody tells me to do.
How you view things... is yet another "choice" you make for yourself.

Fortunately I do know how the game works. I was basically doing Choice with the previously carrier I was leased on with. Always going to be ups and downs it's all about how you roll with the punches.

They told us they were I to start fining people for keeping empties. So when I got unloaded today I called them about dropping my empty. He said just keep it so we don't have to find you one on Wednesday.

And that was the same policy in the old agreement.
