I'm serious. He's fine. He kinda crashed and burned (figuratively speaking) in the trucking world and then told a tall tale about dying, but he's fine. Pride a little bit injured, but other than that, he's ok.

Hegemeister and Bumper Thank this. -
I’m now full invested in this so did he lie to captain or was he in on it?? I tried calling his phone I haven’t spoke to him in 4 years but it was off. I have way too many questions.

But, honestly it would be better if this thread just went away.
Lance was a good guy.
As far as I know, he's alive and well.
He made some decisions that I wouldn't have made, and paid the price for his decisions.
But he was a pretty good guy nevertheless.
Mods.....please shut this down.
Nothing to see here
Thanks
@Hegemeister, CaptainDaveG, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this. -
I would second locking this thread down.
Hegemeister Thanks this. -
No, there's plenty to see here.
Every driver that thinks he's gonna get
Rich owning a truck, should read this whole
Thread first.
Stop leading theses guys into financial ruin,
By never telling them the truth.
It's always one half of the story,
The, look at me, I make 10 grand a week,
Then a year later there broke and embarrassed.
But they never mention that part, they just disappear.
Then the next crop of drivers come along
And all they see is that 10 grand a week lie.
And the cycle continues, over and over.Hotplate, Speed_Drums, Midwest Trucker and 8 others Thank this. -
I agree to a point, some people don’t have any business running a business. If your of sound mind and know what your doing...a good businessman I believe the outcome would be different. IMO it’s not so much that every driver that thinks owning a truck is going to get them rich but a smart businessman goes about it differently then what FW did.
Also my opinion but, you either have it or you don’t. Unfortunately a lot of truck drivers fall into these bad deals, at the end of the day a business man will succeed and a truck driver won’t.Speed_Drums and dwells40 Thank this. -
Paid off truck #1, and bought Truck #2
Owe $4500 on truck #2 and will have it paid off in December
Sell truck #2 (already have a buyer) and
Pay off house ($20k) with the proceeds
and still have $10k in my pocket
And saved $120k in my SEP Roth
And have paid nearly $15k in taxes every year since I started......and am current and have $26k in savings for next years Roth and IRS.
I must be doing it all wrong
