And I suspect the OP decided it’s better to ask for forgiveness later. The point is under federal regs it’s an exempt commodity, anything else is between him and his boss. Personally I can’t understand why anyone would choose to not use all the tools available to them in order to do a job.

I don't think it's any real eggageration to say that the OP is now walking on eggshells with his/her boss...& can thus eggpect potentially bad things to happen later -- if he/she did in fact use the ag eggemption here....:p:D:rolleyes:

Because nothing is gained. There's so many roadblocks out here to getting ahead. Showing up at a grocery place a day early or calling and asking if they'll take it a day early? If they wanted it early they would've scheduled it that way 9 times out of 10. And its right back to the same old ELD drudgery afterwards. Even cattleman admitted the stars didn't always align to make it worthwhile.

Even if “nothing is gained” at the delivery you can still save time on your 70. 3 hours or so of drive time once loaded, no need to log a pretrip, no need to log fuel, plus however much drive time getting to your pick up.

Yeah it's a shame the corners a person has to cut hauling freight just to scratch some extra money. When I start my day I don't log sleeper/off duty until the job is done or I bump into 14 hours.

Running AG exempt is still running per ELD regulations, it's literally covered underneath ELD regulations on FMCSA's website.

This is the same guy who will later post. XYZ Company scammers and liars stay away! After blatantly disregarding his boss to run legal per ELD

All I know is if my boss told me to do it a certain way .. well then thats how I would do it
End result is he's gona sit in the El Paso heat running his APU and reefer unit for basicaly a extra day while his boss gets pissed off cause he didn't listen
I noticed in 1 of the OP's posts he commented about how he called the Iowa DOT asking if it was Is exempt because he didn't really know ..Now he's out to prove a point that it can be run that way ..

Makes no sense to me .. but what ever ..

He could run it with the regular rules and log it with the ag-exemption. That way he arrives as expected,
but has more hours remaining to run after the delivery.
