That particular Pilot is on my "No-Way List". Luckily, we have a yard not far from there.

"How 'bout I make you a counter-offer? You pay ME $125 and I let you leave with your life."

As soon as he walks away, I'll cut the dern thing off. I carry all sorts of tools, including bolt cutters and a pneumatic cut-off wheel. Won't take long to turn his wheel lock into a pile of scrap.

I have never stopped at that pilot. Just always assumed parking was a no go.

Reminds me of a story years ago from another forum where a guys car got booted because he forgot to hang his parking permit on the mirror. It was on the dash.

The HOA required permits for on street parking and he let his wife park in the garage.

The company contracted to enforce the parking regs refused to remove the boot without a $300 removal fee despite the fact he was a resident. He contacted the police who told him it was a civil matter.

He and a few friends put his car on rollers and pushed it into the garage. The towing company called the police to report a theft. The cops told them the same thing, it's a civil matter.

They removed the boot by picking the lock and put it on the curb.

That's not being a rude jerk, that helps the drivers that are backing into the slots on either side of the bobtail that way they have more space.

I can see that , perhaps 5 feet or so back. But to park all the way back at the curb?
I get that its quieter , easier to step outside the truck and piss without being seen etc.

Pilot/TA/Petro/Flying J/etc. ALL have fully functional bathroom facilities. Folks "stepping out of their truck to pee" is why truck stop lots tend to smell like urinals, and why many businesses (stores, shippers, receivers, etc.) don't want "disgusting truckers" parking on their property. Walk your lazy rear end inside and use the facility like a civilized person if a facility is available. I fully understand watering your tire in the absence of an actual restroom...but whenever one is provided or made available for you to use, USE IT!!!
